Creating a history involves a series of events and dates, but most importantly, it is something worth remembering. As the founding fathers of Alpha Psi Rho began to write the first chapter of a legacy, they found it necessary to remember what had motivated them to breathe life into their Brotherhood. Through fate, ten founding fathers came together to bring a new sense of support to the people of Asian/Pacific Islander ancestry. As we reflect upon the struggles our ancestors faced in adapting and surviving in the United States of America, we continue to emulate their hardships. Alpha Psi Rho will strive to become a predominant force in American society. The founding fathers composed of Jason Valoroso, Kenny Fong, James Kuniyoshi, Jeremy Quirante, Jay Balanay, Kenny Ortega, Ryan Lucina, Reuel Andaya, Anthony Gambol, and Benjamin Abiva. Alpha Psi Rho was founded on March 1, 2000, and was established upon the beliefs of Brotherhood, Academics, Prosperity, and Strength.

Expansion

Three years later the Alpha Chapter of San Diego State University believed they were ready to expand. With the approval of the 10 founding fathers, the evolution of Alpha Psi Rho had begun. With five dedicated, determined souls that wanted to make a difference within their campus, the Asian Pacific Islander community and themselves, they accepted the challenge. As they faced against negative stereotypes from the community, they used it as motivation towards their goals and achievements. They acted upon their beliefs of what they saw right in American society. It was destined that the five souls took the challenge and overcome the obstacles that they would endure. In the end, standing strong and proud the Charter Class of Cal State Northridge was born on September 1, 2003. The Charter Class of Cal State Northridge was composed of Ted Llamas, Noel Gavia, Jonathan Cunanan, Darwin Rubio, and Justin Tanthanasiridej continuing the traditions and beliefs of Alpha Psi Rho’s eternal brotherhood.
