Alpha Lambda Kappa is a sorority founded by Jeanette Baker in 1991 at Purdue University. It is not only the first but also the only sorority for women majoring in Computer Technology or Information Systems. The colors are pink and silver.
The charter was drafted in early 1991 by the founder and the four co-founders. Ten students were inducted at a ceremony on April 2, 1992 to become the first members. Among the first inductees was one male.[1]
