Alpena's CW is the CW-affiliated television station for Alpena, Michigan. This station is only offered on cable as part of The CW Plus, a special CW cable and / or over-the-air digital feed that serves smaller television markets with a DMA rank above 100 (the Alpena television market has a rank of 208). Operated by Charter, Alpena's CW can be seen on cable channel 21. The station is operated out of Charter's regional offcies which are located on M-32 in Alpena.
Like most CW Plus affiliates, Alpena's CW offers the nationally syndicated morning, The Daily Buzz on weekday mornings from 6 to 9. Like most other CW Plus stations, Alpena's CW was originally part of The WB through The WB 100+ (a similar operation to the current CW Plus service) until The WB and UPN shut down on September 18, 2006 to form The CW. As a WB affiliate, the station had the fictional call letters of "WBAE" and was known on-air as Alpena's WB 21.
