Hello,
My name is Abelardo López-Lagunas. I am a professor at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) Campus Toluca. My areas of interest are parallel architectures, VLSI design, stream computing, and parallel and high performance compilers.
I received the BSEE degree from the ITESM Campus Toluca in 1988, and the MSEE and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1991 and 1997. I did postdoctoral research at the Concurrent VLSI Architectures (CVA) at Stanford University in 1998.
I have worked both in academia and industry. From 2002 to 2004 I worked at the Embedded Imaging Systems Lab part of the Embedded Systems and Physical Science Center of Excellence at Motorola Labs. I have worked at the ITESM Campus Toluca from 1991 to 1993, from 1998 to 2001, and from 2005 to date.
I belong to the IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society where I am currently a Senior Member.
