Aloe arborescens Mill. is a species in the genus Aloe. It is the only other member of the Aloe family that is as effective as Aloe Vera for medical uses[citation needed].

Blue-grey leaves with red, tubular flowers producing nectar attracting, amongst others, sunbirds, Crested Barbets and Grey Louries. It grows to 2m x 3m. Its sap is used in the treatment of bruises, burns and other skin complaints. Its common English name is Krantz Aloe.

Aloe arborescens occurs naturally in areas of South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi
