[edit] Global City
Why should I leave it be? I know the correct answer.
He is telling me write now. And plus the steps for a global city on the page, Toronto gets 10 points. It's GDP is $305 billion and keeps the 7th' richest country in the world Canada going. Canada is a G8 country so it is inportant. And plus I have seen Toronto as an Alpha city on that very list before.
Look, my dad works for Gawc. He told me this stuff himself. He should know since her works there!
You are ignoring edit summaries in repeatedly moving Canadian cities up a level on the Global City and offering no justification yourself. Please stop this. Marskell 20:44, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- If your dad or someone else sees fit to update GaWC information on-line it can be changed. Otherwise, leave it be. Marskell 20:49, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Toronto and related
Well, here's some good news, You won't have to block it because I am putting the right information. And for your big fat information Canada does have the world's 7th' biggest economy. 1.318 trillion dollars. I am talking about GDP(nominal) not PPP.
I have little doubt you are anon user 70.81.117.175, given that your diction etc. is identical. Cease posting unsourced, incorrect info on Toronto and related pages. Canada does not have the world's 7th largest economy. Toronto is not an Alpha city (though it ranks highly) on the sourced GaWC pages. It does not have a population of 6.8 million. I will move to get this page blocked if I am convinced you are adding wrong information as an anon. Marskell 01:10, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:1533.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:1533.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. RedWolf 16:21, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Theron2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Theron2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

[edit] Image tagged
Image:Zane10.jpg does not have source information and is scheduled for deletion within seven days. Please immediately provide accurate source information and copyright information for this image. "I got this from Google" is insufficient. Thanks. --Yamla 20:51, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image problems
You clearly are not understanding copyright issues and fair use as they apply to images. Please refrain from uploading any further images until you are sure you understand. Making claims like "the image came from google" are entirely insufficient and what you are doing is a violation of federal and international copyright law (yes, even in Edmonton). If you need help understanding, or you wish to know if a particular image would fall under fair use, please feel free to ask someone. If you continue uploading images in violation of copyright, you may be blocked. Thanks. --Yamla 20:49, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pls see comment on Jack Wasserman talk page
thx. And PS, I'm Norwegian-Canadian too. Been pondering a Norwegian-Canadians page or category; names that come to mind are Jack Rabbit Johanssen (sp?), the x-country skier, and Boss (Byron) Johnson, who was Premier of BC 1949-52. My grandfather ranks too; founder of the World War I-era Royal Canadian Viking Regiment (and first military funeral in Wpg in WWI, although from muster, not combat) and the Sons of Norway choir....Skookum1 00:59, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Norwegian Canadian cat - us??
Um, flattering though it is normally category designations are only for actual articles; I haven't "earned one" yet; I'm just an Wiki editor as are you; we are not the subject of articles, at least not yet - depending on how life unfolds, especially for a younger person like you (I'm 50). Have to go look at the rest of the category now and see who's already in and think of who should be; sometimes it's not obvious, as maybe they might have an Irish or Greek or Japanese last name/other half of the family....Skookum1 05:00, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Elfros, Saskatchewan
The Scandinavians column had ZERO respondents on the census you cited, please stop your original research. heqs 12:03, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I did not mean the "Scandinavian column", I meant the other Scandinavian races, like Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Danish.
[edit] Jim Creeggan
I'm not saying this to dispute the fact, I'm just curious what your source is - I've never heard of Jim's having Irish roots. Do you have a source on it? TheHYPO 13:43, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ethnic categories.
Hi, you appear to be adding ethnic categorys to various people with no discussion and from what I can see solely based on their surnames. Could you please stop this and discuss it before you continue. - SimonLyall 13:03, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Human height
Can you provide a source for your recent edit to Human height? Pete.Hurd 22:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65768
the precise line in this says "well this morning on the radio they were saying how on a recent study Canadians are the second tallest in the world behind the Dutch. For example, I am a Canadian woman who is 5'11 and my brothers are both 6'4, my boss is 6'11...yess 6'11 lol...and on this radio show they said that the average Canadian man is 5'11.5 and the women are 5'6."
[edit] List of famous tall men
Alm, I did not wish to make you mad. But as my friend Hammish states and the discussion page and the 2nd deletion log shows, we have reached a compromise over adding new ppl, and are still in the porcess of adding sources for al the ppl on the list. External sources are needed. There is also an ongoing debate aboot what notability means on the page, and blanket adding sports stars will likely result in a third deletion proposal in the not too distant future. Hope this helps.Halbared 08:24, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] French Canadians category
Please note that the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec already have their own dedicated subcategories (Category:Franco-Manitobans, Category:Franco-Ontarians, Category:French Quebecers), as do Category:Acadians. People from those provinces are to be filed in those categories, not directly in Category:French Canadians; the French Canadians category is to be directly applied only to people from the other provinces that don't have their own separate subcategories. Bearcat 17:55, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Also, place such categories with the other category links, not below the interlanguage (i.e. "[[fr:Paul Piché]]") links. Bearcat 17:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Natural redheads
There should be a statement from a reliable, third party source verifying that the person is a natural redhead in his/her bio article. Otherwise it will deleted, and you'll have an empty category, which will then be deleted. I did a quick look, and it looks like none of the articles have that sourced information. In fact, one article (Ann-Margret) has contradictory information. Ward3001 (talk) 03:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
