Almus Dam (Almus Barajı in Turkish) is near town of Almus 28 km South of Tokat city in center north of Turkey and located on the Kelkit, , a tributary of the Yeşilırmak River which runs into the Black Sea . There is a hydroelectric power plant, established in 1966, at the dam, with a power output of 27MW (three facilities at 9MW each).
