Almondbury High School and Language College

Almondbury High School and Language College is a mixed, comprehensive, 11-16 school with around 750 students on the roll. It is situated within a large local authority council estate in the village of Almondbury, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Opened in 1963 as Almondbury County Secondary School, it has more recently been awarded specialist Language College status. The current headteacher is Ms Janet Tolley.

This was the first school in Kirklees to have exclusive use of an on-site swimming pool. A large Sports Arena is a focal point of the local community.
