Alleppey Express

Alleppey Express is the general name for the train number 6041 that runs from Chennai to Alleppey via Jolarpet. This is a very important train connecting Kerala. This train was formerly called Cochin Express (and kerala express prior to that) but later changed to its present name after the extension of the railway line to Alleppey.
The train departs Chennai at 9:15 PM usually fully packed to span a total running distance of 746 kilometers. The train returns to Chennai from Alleppey as train number 6042 under the name of Chennai Express.
