[edit] Copyright issue with Fauji Foundation
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.
I have deleted the copied material that you added to Fauji Foundation. Dkreisst 08:37, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Uncivil behaviour on Wikipedia
Alihyderzaidi - your recent comments and behaviour towards me on Wikipedia are both rude and uncalled for. It is apparent that you are new to Wikipedia, and I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with policies regarding civility and ownership of articles. Every wikipedian has a right to contibute to any article in the manner of their choosing, within the framework of Wikipedia's policies.
I do not appreciate the personal accusations that you have placed on my talk page. If you have issues with my contributions to an article, speak to the issues rather than resorting to unfounded personal accusations.
With respect to the Aga Khan University article, I have been a longstanding contributor and I will continue to contribute to it. I also recognize the hard work that you have put into the article. I would prefer that we each work constructively to produce a well written, verifiable, encyclopedic article, in keeping with Wikipedia policies. I hope that you are willing to demonstrate a similar spirit of good faith and respect. -- Aylahs (talk) 02:06, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Based on your continued uncivil behaviour, it appears that you either do not know that you are being offensive, or that you simply do not care. If it is the latter, then Wikipedia may not be the right forum for you. Wikipedia is a community encyclopedia in which different contributors seek to collaborate respectfully. I ask once again that you engage Wikipedia in that spirit - if in fact you are an AKU alumnus or former faculty member as you claimed (05:47, 4 April 2007, Aga Khan University history page), then you ought to recognize similar values engraved in the University's seal.
- Here are some examples of what you have written which I consider to be personally offensive:
- u, being an aga khani vigilante, should know how real the term is - 23:09, 8 April 2007 Alihyderzaidi (edit summary comment written by Alihyderzaidi appearing on the Aga Khan University article history page.)
- ...and I do not want to see you, an ismaili vigilante, to vandalize or censor it. - 19:03, 8 April 2007 Alihyderzaidi (from an unsigned comment written by Alihyderzaidi on Aylahs Talk page.)
- Again, if you disagree with something that I have contributed, address the merits of the issue rather than resorting to a personal attack. Perhaps we could use the article's discussion page to respectfully sort out these matters and come to a compromise on the best way to address them. -- Aylahs (talk) 14:27, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AKU images
Hi Alihyderzaidi. I am glad to see your continued contributions to the AKU article. However, I am concerned about the copyright status of the photos used in the article. While the photos look nice in the article, many of them bear a striking resemblance to those found in official AKU literature and the University website, and some of them are clearly lifted from postcards and newspapers.
It is critical that only free photographs be used, and tagging an image file with improper licensing information is not an acceptable workaround. Using photographs owned by others without their authorization comporomises the credibility of the AKU article, and could put it in danger of being deleted from wikipedia.
I would strongly recommend that you review the photographs that you have uploaded for use in this article, and where they are inappropriately lifted from other sources, please remove them. Regards -- Aylahs (talk) 15:03, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- As an aside - non-free images are permitted if they meet all of these criteria. If that is the case for any of the images, you need to provide appropriate justification on the image file page detailing how each of the ten criteria are met. Hope that this is helpful. -- Aylahs (talk) 15:10, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
