Hi.
I disagree with your opinion on the images being protected. According to United States copyright law, they are not protected.
However, I have quit editing WP for good, and dont wish to prove this case of copyright laws for the nth time to anyone anymore. Please do remove all images from all articles. That way we will put everyone at ease.
But before you do so, please notify me so I can transfer the image to permanent storage for safekeeping.
Thank You.--Zereshk 16:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. I cannot remove images from articles. I just list them for more consideration by others. Ali Mohajerani 16:42, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

- May i ask why you are trying to delete only the iranian images and not other images with possible violations? --Spahbod ☼ 15:41, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am an Iranian and I know Iranian things better. Please tell me other images with possible violations so I can tag them. Ali Mohajerani 11:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images
Hi there! I have seen you have been busy tagging images for copyvio. If you'd like to help in improving wikipedia on Iranian articles, I suggest you try to put the copyright status of the images on a firm foundation instead of simply tagging them (which is obviously a very simple task to be done). In case an image is taken from a weblog, you can simply check with the blogger and I am sure they will give the permission for the usage. Please note that numerous western media are reporting images taken by ISNA, BAZTAB, MEHRnews etc and Iranian bloggers without permission. I suggest you follow Radio farda and BBC persian and see how they are using those images every day.
If you want to keep on tagging images, Please go right ahead! I have no personal objection to your viewpoint. However I would prefer to do something useful and more challenging.

- Thanks a lot. I am basing my disputes on a firm basis. Usually, even the blogger is not the owner of a photo he has posted. So his permission doesn't help Wikipedia. I believe the best solution is replacing the copyvio photographs by photographs taken by Wikipedians. Ali Mohajerani 11:42, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
