Alihodza was the custodian of the Han at the end of the Bridge in the Nobel Prize-winning novel "Na Drini Cuprija" (Bridge over the Drina), written by the famous Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian/Yugoslav/European writer Ivo Andric. A luddite before his time, Alihodza rejected the technological advancements brought by the Austro-Hungarian takeover at the end of the Ottoman empire, and partly as a result of being a royal pain in the ass, Alihodza greeted the first A-H troops to enter Visegrad whilst nailed to the famous bridge by his ear.
