Wikipedia is a fun site: my love of films allows me fun to act as an amateur historian without the heated discussions or trolling on most message boards (I tend to register on a devoted forum for a specific subject). Certainly it allows me to dip in and out of my favourite fictional universes if I feel bored, and I have strict adherence to guidelines: they always provide logic. I came here first for help regarding Doctor Who's mythology. I tend to work a lot on film articles, and hopefully all my favourites will be GA or FA one day. I keep track of a lot of future movies, which are easier to maintain than past films due to the steady flow of new citations, and work on articles depending on say, an upcoming anniversary, or when I nab a good making-of book.

2008 is going to be an amazing year and I look forward to watching these articles:
- Iron Man: I'm amazed how good the article has been without semi-protection. IPs are responding well to guidelines.
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Terrific fun, better than Temple of Doom (Raiders and Crusade will forever duke it out in my head for top spot). It's been tough battling rumours (like that fake City of Gods title or John Hurt as Abner Ravenwood, gotta love studio misinformation), while my research helped me bring various Indy-related articles to scratch, such as Indiana Jones franchise#Literature, Indiana Jones characters and Indiana Jones comic books. Now what is strange is that while reviews are mostly positive, you'd read articles by "goose-stepping morons" like this, this and this, you'd believe the film was a total disaster: then again, Spielberg and Lucas were never liked by critics (seriously: the same website that shows this film's popularity would also have you believe many films of the past were highly acclaimed upon release by collecting a far smaller collection of reviews). The upshot of this? I have no idea how to write the reception section. Still, bought myself The Complete Making of Indiana Jones, and am aiming for all four films to be FA.
- The Incredible Hulk: Part two of the Marvel Studios franchise, building to the Avengers movie. The mixed reaction to Ang Lee's film was a blessing-in-disguise for a fan like me. In the span of five years, there will be two unique takes on Stan Lee's superheroic Universal monster. A major restructure may be in order, as this film is so unique with a screenwriter as star and a marketing campaign that will rely more on word-of-mouth than most blockbusters.
- The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian: Why do we Brits have to wait until June? C.S. Lewis, born in Belfast, wrote it here. Anyway, the film sounds like your usual bigger, better sequel. The article should help me create a standard to eventually improve the first film's article.
- WALL-E: The reaction to a silent Pixar film will be interesting. At the very least, WALL-E might be on par with E.T. as to how much I would want it as a pet. Seriously, how much Disney?
- The Dark Knight: May Ledger rest in peace and blow us all away with his final performance. Anyway, my favourite superhero keeps on rocking. Hopefully Batman Begins can improve to FA beforehand. I'll come out and say I'm more interested in Two-Face than the Joker.
- Quantum of Solace: Casino Royale got to FA, so can this with my improved editing skills. Now it is an odd title, but heck, it's still Ian Fleming. I think it's so awesome SPECTRE (in all but name) is being reinvented for the 2000s, and that Bond has a character arc. I wonder how Olga Kurylenko will look: she looks like a different woman in every photograph!
- The Day the Earth Stood Still: Please don't be poor. At least there'll be media attention for the original film. Will Klaatu nuke us for not stopping global warming? Turns out I was right. How cool could a modern Gort look? Then again, look what Fox did to Galactus.
2009 film articles I'm watching over are The Wolf Man, The Lovely Bones, Watchmen, Dragonball, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Star Trek, Angels & Demons (a far superior book to DVC), Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, G.I. Joe, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Avatar. I'm always keeping an eye on the James Bond, X-Men Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean and Tolkien's lot as well. Whatever Spielberg, Pixar and Burton do too, I'm on it, if not on my watchlist.
