[edit] Comments

Alistair was my uncle -- though I never met him. I purchased a copy of his Pelican published history of science from Augustin Galileo -- so he was publishing in the history of science in the 1960s, where as your article suggests that he only took up this interest at a later time. The Crombies were a pioneer family in Queensland -- having settled in Longreach in 1868. He was a formidable man -- 1 of my cousins from Queensland went to visit him in the 1970 and he spent the entire weekend speaking French! {[User:Geoffrey Hart]] 10 June 2006

[edit] Change of academic field of emphasis

As Crombie did begin to publish in the history of science as early as 1952, I am going to change the verbiage regarding "In the 1970s he turned his attention to the history of science..." If either the original editor or anyone else can clarify the intended meaning of the reference to the 1970s, please update the article accordingly. Thanks, Lini 02:31, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
