The Alien vs. Predator crossover imprint began with a 1989 comic book and has since become a media franchise encompassing 2 feature films and an extensive collection of licensed books, comics, video games, toys, and other products. The 2004 film Alien vs. Predator was the first feature film based on the crossover imprint, and merged the fictional storylines of the two blockbuster film franchises into a single continuity.
