Alis Vidūnas

Alis Vidūnas (born November 8, 1934, in the village of Reketija, Marijampolė municipality) is a Lithuanian politician. 1952-1958 he studied at Kaunas Politechnical Institute, Faculty of Hydrotechnology and received profession of an engineer. 1995-04-10 - 1997-01-21 he was mayor of Vilnius, 1997-01-15 - 2000-11 15 – head of Vilnius region. Since 2001 he is marketing director in Greitkelis Ltd.
His wife, Gražina Vidūnienė, is an economist. His son is a head of the Centre of Oriental Studies at Vilnius University.
