Alicia Gorey

Alicia Gorey is an Australian news presenter She was the lead anchor for the ABC News in Western Australia. Karina Carvalho replaced Gorey as lead anchor of ABC News in Western Australia.

Gorey was born in Melbourne and made her first media appearance was on Radio National's The Sports Factor. From there she joined the ABC in Mildura. It was a stint as a reporter on Triple J radio that was the impetus for her move to Perth. At the end of 2005 she replaced outgoing anchor Paul Lockyer as presenter of Western Australia's 7pm ABC TV News bulletin.

In April 2008 she resigned with plans to return to Melbourne at the end of May 2008. Later in 2008, Gorey will be a reporter for National Nine News in Melbourne.
