Alice High School(AHS) serves the students of Alice, Texas and surrounding communities. The number of students enrolled in AHS in 2006 was 1,574. The School mascot is the coyote.

Alice High school was established in 1970. Prior to 1970 students attended William Adams High School, which is now a junior high school. The first graduating class was in 1971.

The coyotes have been to the Texas state semifinals 4 times in school history in 1955, 1979, 1998,and 1999 but have never made it to the state finals. Alice's all time football record is 512-347-33 as of 2006. The home football games are held at Memorial Stadium.

  • The school in supposedly haunted by a construction worker that died during the building of the library. The school is also located in front of the old Collins Cemetery.
