Alice Harnoncourt

Alice Harnoncourt (née Hoffelner; born 1930 in Vienna, Austria) is an Baroque violinist. She is noted for her playing of the Baroque violin, viol, and other stringed instruments. Along with her husband Nikolaus Harnoncourt she formed the period instrument ensemble Concentus Musicus Wien in 1953. She served as principal violinist in Concentus Musicus Wien.
