[edit] Australia's Next Top Model
Burdeu's height and editorial looks immediately caught the eyes of Australia's Next Top Model judges. Burdeu, however, battled with confidence issues throughout the show. Some of the judges and fellow competitors believed that she had a high-maintenance attitude, in that she voiced her complaints a few times. In addition, Burdeu received harsh criticism concerning her low body mass index. However, Burdeu's portfolio and runway walk proved to be impressive. Ultimately, she was chosen by both the judges and viewers of the show as the winner.
Burdeu's prizes as the winner include a one-year deal with model agency Priscilla's Model Management, a contract as the face of Napoleon Perdis including an international photo shoot, appeared on the cover and was in an eight-page fashion feature in Vogue Australia (September 2007 issue), a trip to New York, and a Ford Fiesta XR4.[2] Her Napoleon Perdis campaign photos can now be seen in stores all over Australia and New Zealand

This has included a 3 page advertorial for Mondial Jewellers in Australia[13]and a cover of Harper's Bazaar Supplement.[14]Burdeu has also appeared on the Malaysian edition of Her World Magazine.[15]Not to be outdone, Burdeu got her first US magazine cover from Verse Magazine, appearing in the January 2008 issue.[16] During Australian Fashion Week, Alex Perry had an ¨exclusive¨ on Burdeu's fashion services: she opened and closed Alex Perry's ´Safari Princess´ themed Spring/Summer 0809 fashion show.[17]

[edit] Personal Life
Burdeu had stated during Australia's Next Top Model that she would like to continue on with her education and go to university. However, with her being such in-demand, she has decided to postpone any plans for further education. She is friends with fellow Australian models Abbey Lee, Allegra Carpenter and Vanessa Milde, as well as American model Courtney Smerski. She is also a close friend of Abbie Couchman, who is currently studying Arts at Melbourne University. [20]
