Ali Vegas is an underground rap artist from South Jamaica, Queens, New York. He is a close childhood friend of NBA Player Lamar Odom (Odom often affectionately calls Vegas his "cousin"; however, they are not related). He is currently signed to Odom's label Rich Soil.

His album, Generation Gap 2: The Prequel will release Summer of 2008. Ali began his career in the late 90’s. The self proclaimed “Prince of New York” hails from Jamaica, Queens. In 2006 Ali Vegas signed to Lamar Odom’s label, Rich Soil Entertainment where he has worked with producers ranging from J Nice to Midi Mafia. Vegas began rapping at age 6 and since has had a string of hits including Gangsta Boogie, The Apology, and the Specialists which was featured on the ‘In Too Deep’ soundtrack. Ali’s new album will include collaborations with Nas, AZ, Styles, Akon, Sammie, Deemi and others as well. This album will feature production by DJ Premier, L.E.S, Scott Storch, Cool & Dre, J-Nice, Baron Boys, Midi Mafia and more...
Vegas is also the co-owner of Rich Soil Entertainment, which he shares with Lamar Odom and is the owner of Council Recordings, home to the likes of underground favorites such as R.A.P., TRL, ImSoHood, and a long list of others...

Some people may remember his face from various TV appearances. First, Vegas was the leading man in the video for 3LW's No More (Baby I'ma Do Right) as he was the boyfriend for Kiely Williams who was unfaithful to her. Secondly, Vegas was on the The Blaze Battle, a freestyle battle competition held in New York City. Vegas, a heavily favorite to win, lost in the first round to the winner Eyedea. Thirdly, he was featured in a TheTruth.com commercial. Lastly, Vegas on Rap City (TV series) alongside Lamar Odom and Mad Linx and a judge on 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday competition.
