Ali Salimi

Mster Ali salimi was born in the city of Baku in 1922(1301 Hegira).Many years before his birth,his father had migrated from the village of Mehmandoust,city of Ardabil to baku to earn livelihood. The master attended the classes of the great and famous musician of Azerbaijan,i.e Ahmed Baki Khanov and after a short while he showed such a talent for music the master Ahmet baki khanov introduced him to the national orchestra of azerbaijan. At the time of stalin,because the master's father did not want to change his nationality,returned to iran along with his family in 1938(1317 hegira),and resided in his hometown-Ardabil-and obtained birth certificate in his city. It should be mentioned that,in 1965(1344 hegira) when the famous singer of baku,Rashid Behbodov ,had come to iran to have orchestra was very impressed when he listened to the composition Irilig ,and ask the master for permission to play that composition in baku.The result of playing this composition'Irilig' and master salimi in baku was that rashid behbodov won the utmost fame. The master's statute is placed at the site of cultural organization of UNESCO asThe great composer of the east for the sight of the visitors. Unfortunately at the dawn of Apr.22, the same years ,this grave and precious artist passed away at the age of 74 due to cerebral apoplexy,and so all artists and art-lovers became bereaved.He was love Ardabil city beacuse ardabil was her citys.
