Ali Naqvi is a Canadian social democratic politician, and lawyer. He has run for political office at both the federal and provincial levels of government for the New Democratic Party (NDP).

Ali Naqvi was born in Karachi, Pakistan, on November 16, 1964. He attended the University of Karachi where he received the following degrees: a Bachelor of Commerce; Masters of International Relations; and Law. He then received a Law degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

He now practices immigration law at Naqvi and Associates LL.Ms. He lives in the Toronto, Ontario suburb of Etobicoke, with his wife Raisa Sharipova and their two children Zain and Ameer.

He has run for the New Democratic Party in three elections and was defeated three times. His first run for elected office was in the electoral district of Don Valley West in the 2000 federal election. His second election was during the 2003 Ontario provincial election, also in Don Valley West. In the 2006 federal election he ran for the NDP in Etobicoke North. He is running again for the federal NDP and was nominated as the their candidate in the riding of Etobicoke North, on May 12, 2007. The date of the next federal election is unknown, but could be as late as 2009.

He is the brother of Liberal MPP Yasir Naqvi.
