Ali Gürsoy

Ali Gursoy was born in Izmir, Turkey. He completed his primary and high school education in Izmir and military service in eastern Turkey. He moved to the United States in 1997 and completed his undergraduate studies at Chicago State University majoring in Hospitality Management and minor in Business. During this time he held office at CSU as president of HM Club for a year. He also completed his graduate degree at Roosevelt University-Chicago and Schaumburg in M.B.A. concentrating on International Business. During his studies he received grants and scholarships mainly from AH&LA, IRA, IHA, and CEC of America. He currently works as a hotel manager in Chicago area also successfully manages his own company, Gursoy RE Investments, LLC. Besides his professional career, he serves his community as the director of the board at Turkish American Cultural Alliance of Chicago, president of TACA Turkish FC Soccer Team and a member of the AR-Committee at ATAA. His primary goal as a member of Board of Directors at TACA is to keep the existence of Turkish culture stronger in the US and North America. He is also interested in history, and political and international affairs.
