Assessment: Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school article. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of Start on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of Low on this importance scale. For information on improving this article, please visit the WikiProject Schools Project Page. My reasoning is as follows: Some good information but significant cleanup is needed. • There are some members of the Wikipedia community who would like to see all secondary institutions of learning eliminated. The criteria for "notable" high schools have never been clearly defined. For instance, Columbine High School in Colorado is notorious for its massacre in 1999. Does that make it "notable?" Or vice versa? There are very few well really well known high schools in the USA. A highly notable execption is Beverly Hills High School which has many famous graduates in the various arts. I don't see how we can pick and choose fairly. Either this category should ideally be all inclusive or eliminated with the exception of the VERY famous few high schools such as Beverly Hills.T.E. Goodwin 01:48, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I thought wikipedia had a policy that all High Schools are notable (but that middle and elementry schools are not necessarily notable). I think uniformity is a good thing. Not all cities are that notable either. --MarsRover 06:17, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Have you posted your opinion on talk pages of other high schools? Lets keep things consistent: flag all articles about high schools for deletion, or don't flag any please. If you have a problem with WikiProject Schools and its inclusion of high schools, then bring it up in that talk page, not this one.
