Algueirão - Mem Martins (pron. IPA: [aɫgɐi'ɾɐ̃ũ mɐ̃ĩ mɐɾ'tĩʃ]) is a Portuguese freguesia (parish) belonging to the concelho (municipality) of Sintra, with an area of 16.37 km² and 102,413 inhabitants (2004), having a density of about 3,821.4 hab/km² and so being the most densely populated town(vila)and as well parish in Portugal.
It was promoted from village to town on February 1, 1988. It currently remains one of the most populous towns in the country.
