The Algerian Championnat National 2 (commonly referred to as Super D2) (in French: Division Nationale Deux) is the second highest division of the Fédération Algérienne de Football. It was created in 1962, when Algeria became an independent nation and has been played in a number of different formats. Since the 2004-2005 season, the league has been played with 18 teams on a home-and-away basis. The top 3 teams are promoted at the Algerian Championnat National while the bottom three teams are relegated to the Inter-régions Division (3rd division).
