Algemene Bank Nederland

In 1964, Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij merged with De Twentsche Bank to form Algemene Bank Nederland (ABN). This bank has merged with AMRO Bank (Amsterdamsche Rotterdamsche Bank) to form ABN AMRO Bank.
Early in 1970, the London branch of the bank moved from its premises in Austin Friars in the City of London to its present location in Threadneedle Street.
