[edit] Milton Keynes College

The article is about MK College, not about Luton. The link to Luton's problems are enough for the MKC article. So I've taken the quote about Luton out again but I'll move it to the U of Bedfordshire article. --Concrete Cowboy 16:11, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism to University of Bedfordshire

Please do not remove tags which have been legitmately applied to an article. It is considered vandalism. DWaterson 09:43, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

How about putting them on the rest of the page too - or should I?

[edit] Block

Hello, I have blocked you for 24 hours for excessively reverting legitimate edits at University of Bedfordshire. Please see WP:3RR for more information. In the future, please consider discussing the matter on the article talk page if you find yourself in disagreement with other editors working on the article. Edit-warring simply disrupts the encyclopedia. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. --Aguerriero (talk) 16:27, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm assuming you heard about the shooting. Kevin Doran 14:18, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Alfred,

Deleting info-boxes as you did on Milton Keynes College is vandalsim. Even if you do not like the content of an article to vandalise it is not helpful.GazMan7 14:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism yet again

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make but the Vandalism you undertook on the Harpenden page has been reversed. If you do not like Wikipedia do not use it.GazMan7 08:35, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning: Vandalism on Harpenden. TWINKLE

[edit] March 2007

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Harpenden, you will be blocked from editing. SWATJester On Belay! 08:41, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] personal attacks

[edit] A response to the comments on my talk page

Alfred, can I just make a couple of points clear, it would be very helpful if you would remember them when insulting me. 1, I did not, and do not go to Luton Uni, 2, I have no connection with Luton Uni, I have never stepped inside it. 3, This is an encyclopaedia and not a personal campaign ground. 4, your campaign has no place on wikipedia, many editors have reverted things you have said, but the whole world is not against you. 5, an industrial tribunal found against you, they are independent. There is nothing in the published media to substantiate your claims. 6, you are obsessed with the university and now the job I have, thanks for your kind words on my talk page. Just to humour you I attended Leicester uni and studied economics. You would see from my user page i am a charted accountant, not some uneducated missive you wish I was. I’m sorry to disappoint.

Alfred you really should move on for your own well being.--GazMan7 (talk) 07:03, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Alfred's response:

Re 2) Clearly I have no idea who or what you are but I do know that you are no unbiased editor. Tell us what brought the page to your attention and what common interests you have with it.

Re 4) Actually many University of Luton/Bedfordshire staff reverted things that I and others put on. Surprisingly though the advertising that they put up is not disallowed – there does seem to be double standards – but maybe

Re 5) As you should know industrial tribunals do not have jurisdiction in the area of corruption at Luton. Mortimer was found guilty, by a university panel of bullying 2 members of staff. The bullying continued according to one of them.

He has recently been asked to leave WITT in New Zealand, people claiming to be from there tell me that he bullied staff there!

Re 6) Then you (and others claiming even-handedness) just behave as if you are think! It is unjust to attract people from this and other countries to a place where they are unlikely to get the education that they think they are getting. I understand that there have been appeals against the redundancies – but all we hear is that they are voluntary. OK so Bedfordshire staff appeal against something that they volunteered to do?

Unlike supporters of Bedfordshire I care about the quality of education of our citizens, that is why I joined, that is why I complained, that is why I refused the money to go quietly and that is why I intend to continue. As far as I know Ebdon has not taken the trouble to find out what went on before his time and he seems to think that he can start with a clean slate. However there are still staff and students (current and past) who in their own ways will do what they can to right the wrongs done.

I have been involved in the examination of many PhDs, 100s of MScs and 1000s of BScs from universities including Open, Cardiff, Cranfield, The LSE, Dundee, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Oxford Brookes as well as overseas universities and at least I think that I know a duff university when I see one.

I understand that this is an encyclopaedia but it does allow if not encourage debates and free speech is one of its important aspects.

From an email that I received on the 31/3/8 ‘it became clear that the course wasn't going to be carried out well’

Also see http://www.stuff.co.nz:80/4324582a6002.html which is about an ex senior manager at Luton who it is alleged is a friend of an ex deputy prime minister!

I understand that this is an encyclopaedia but it does allow if not encourage debates and free speech is one of its important aspects. actually you are wrong, wikipedia is explicitly NOT about free speech - see WP:NOTANARCHY. That is why your soapboxing was removed from your userpage. --87.113.5.5 (talk) 15:38, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
