[edit] Merge with Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells

I don't think there's enough in either article at present to justify retaining the split. It's impossible to write about AW without discussing the guides, so it doesn't make sense to farm them off into their own article. In any case much of what could be said about the style of the guides applies to his other work as well. To be honest both articles are pretty mediocre at the moment; it would be much easier to develop one quality article on AW with an extended section on the guides. Blisco 17:26, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Struck out as both articles now have plenty of content, though there's a lot more that needs to be said (and probably plenty that could be cut). --Blisco 12:25, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Year of marriage

If the statement, "In 1923 he also met and married his first wife" is correct he married at 15 or 16. Did he? Brandon97 22:42, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

No, 1931. Thincat 13:51, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] broadcasts

I've removed the separate "DVD release" section which someone recently created, and added the text to the end of the para about the "Wainwright walks" TV series, but this isn't really "influence", so someone might like to create a new "Broadcasts" section with this and info about the earlier TV appearances? Did it myself - but someone might like to go into more detail about the 1980s TV programmes. PamD 21:53, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
