[edit] Why it shouldn't be deleted!

Barnards books, especially the whiskey book are well known to those with an interest in whiskey.

His record of the distilling industry at its peak is invaluable, especially in reference to Ireland, where only 1 of the ~30 distilleries he visited are still operating not to mind still standing.

I'm hoping to add more to the article, after I do more research.

I've removed the speedy template. This man is notable enough to have an article in Wikipedia. JoJan 20:42, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
