Hey "A.O."-- It's nice you're adding people. You seem interested in people who lived over 100 years, maybe you could make a list of them linking to the bios.

Also, see NPOV, I think comments like "pretty damn old!!" don't quite fit in the encyclopedia style :)

[edit] Quote Correct/Explain

I corrected the source of "As Maine goes, so goes Vermont" quote. Landon did not make this quote mocking himself - give this a moment's thought, people. Instead it was James Farley, Roosevelt's confidant and former campaign manager. In 1936 he was what we would call today Chairman of the DNC - I'm not exactly certain if that role was referred to by that title in 1936. I also wrote a separate article on the quote, as many non-Americans (indeed, many Americans) might not understand what is today an obscure political reference.

[edit] Alf Landon Junior College

Alf Landon Junior College is a "great get ready for college kind of college", it's "accredited and has free-standing buildings" - Jason Seaver.

The 1980s TV sitcom Growing Pains used Alf Landon as the name of the college to which slacker Mike Seaver was accepted. Interestingly, there were many political references in the show - consider "Benjamin Hubert Horatio Humphrey Seaver."
