Alfred Wormald

Alfred Wormald was a first class cricketer who played 7 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1885 and 1891. A specialist wicket keeper, he took 10 catches and completed 2 stumpings and scored 161 runs as a right handed batsman at 20.12. By far his best innings was his knock of 80 against Gloucestershire CCC in 1888. W.G. Grace scored 148 and 153 in the same drawn game.
He was born on May 10, 1855 in Morley, Yorkshire and died on February 6, 1940 in Gomersal, Yorkshire.
