Alfred V. Covello

Alfred V. Covello (b. 1933, Hartford, CT) is a Federal Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He has served on the court from 1992 to the present. Judge Covello was nominated to the court by George H.W. Bush on April 1, 1992, to a new seat created by 104 Stat. 5089, confirmed by the Senate on August 12, 1992, and received his commission on August 17, 1992. He served as chief judge from 1998 to 2003 and assumed senior status on February 4, 2003. Judge Covello received an A.B. from Harvard University in 1954 and an LL.B.,/J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1960.
