Alfred Teltschik

Alfred Teltschik (born April 18, 1918) is a retired American concert pianist known for his duo-piano and teaching career. He was born in Floresville, Texas to Frank and Lenora Teltschik.

Mr. Teltschik attended the Juilliard School of music, where he studied principally with Olga Samaroff. After his debut at Carnegie Hall, he began a duo-piano concert tour with his brother Herbert Teltschik (born 1919). The Teltschik Brothers were renowned for their technique, synergy, and musicianship.

After touring for more than 25 years, he settled in Houston, Texas and founded Teltschik Piano Studios. Mr. Teltschik also began composing at this time, primarily for his students. He also enjoyed a brief European duo-piano tour with his daughter, Teresa Teltschik, in 1986.

Mr. Teltschik currently resides and teaches piano in Houston, Texas.
