Alfonso Thomas

Alfonso Clive Thomas (born February 9, 1977, Cape Town, Cape Province) is a South African cricketer who has represented his country at 'A' level. He is a right arm fast-medium bowler and a big hitting lower-order batsman.
Thomas made his First Class debut playing for North-West in Potchefstroom in the season of 1998/99. He went on to join the Northerns Titans in 2003-04 and had immediate success with 36 wickets in his eight SuperSport Series matches. Since then he has constantly represented South Africa A and was part of the Test tour to India, standing in for an injured Andre Nel.
He has represented South Africa in a Twenty20 International, taking 3/25 and in August 2007 signed as overseas professional for Warwickshire, before moving to Somerset the following summer.
