A number of stamps were issued in Argentina to celebrate the return to democracy after the military government with the assumption of president Raúl Alfonsín (in office from 10 December 1983 to 9 July 1989), and a state visit to the neighboring nation of Uruguay in November 1986. The Argentine stamp is Scott #1455, and the Uruguayan one is Scott #1227.
