[edit] Speedy deletion of Weymouth Supporters Club Football Club

A tag has been placed on Weymouth Supporters Club Football Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

football club with no league to play in and no sources for the article

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Metropolitan90 16:19, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Morden F.C.

A tag has been placed on Morden F.C., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

[edit] Morden F.C.

Hi! I don't know enough about English football to know how significant the Dorset Sunday League is, but it might be a good idea to create at least a basic article about it and it's place in the F.A. system before creating pages for teams that play in that league? --Stormie 00:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I don't even see a mention of the Dorset Sunday League in English football league system?? --Stormie 00:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dutts

He hasn't been playing for your teams friendlies as he's playing for them for my club as a matter of fact! He's currently on trial at York, but I don't know if he's left Weymouth. When I made the article, I made the presumption he was still at the club as soccerbase had him listed and I hadn't heard otherwise. Have you read any statements of him leaving the club anywhere, or if his contract has expired? Mattythewhite 22:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Whoah, I never heard about that. I'll have to give it a mention in his article. And its an orquard thing with the new contracts - I think Yorks players all had one year contracts, and so far only two have signed new deals. I would recommend the players should stay in the squad list, until an announcement is made on their future. And on the York Press it says Dutton is a former Weymouth player, so it seems pretty safe for him to be removed. Mattythewhite 22:40, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Baker is on trial at Macclesfield. See this. Mattythewhite 23:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
