[edit] Spoken Wikipedia Recordings

Hello again. I don't know if you've been able to take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia/Recording guidelines yet, but when you record your articles, could you end them with "This sound file and all text in the article are licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, available at www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html" or the equivalent for the license you use? It signals the listener that the article is over... otherwise it feels like we've been left hanging. Thanks! ~MDD4696 03:33, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Sure! Thanks for the heads up :) Alexkillby 03:34, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey

Nice accent and good pronunciation! :) I've heard the Freedom Tower .ogg you recorded and it was quite good. One point, though: when you make a mistake, you shouldn't IMO correct yourself and say your sorries. If you're in such a position, you should programatically erase all errors. That way, the spoken article would seem flawless. If you don't have an apropriate audio software, I recommend Sound Forge (if you use Windows). If you use Linux, I don't know what you could use because I'm quite new to the OS myself. :D Cheers and keep up with the good work. --Filip (ยง) 14:04, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spoken articles

Howdy - Thanks for your recent Spoken Wikipedia contributions! Overall they sound good but there are a couple of technical changes that should be made:

  • Please start each recording with "Article name, from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, at E N dot wikipedia dot org." and end each one with "This sound file and all text in the article are licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, available at www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html"
  • Please check out the uploading guidelines and use the provided template (most importantly, since the text of the article is licensed GFDL, your recording must also be released as GFDL rather than Public Domain).

Keep up the good work! -SCEhardT 06:31, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
