[edit] Little context in AC Transit Line 95

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on AC Transit Line 95, by Rmsuperstar99 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because AC Transit Line 95 is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting AC Transit Line 95, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 02:46, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] August 2007

A tag has been placed on Centinanial Hall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MKoltnow 19:09, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Your recent contributions to Wikipedia are very much appreciated. However, please take a moment to look over your contributions for spelling, grammatical, capitalization, and punctuation errors before submitting them in final. This will help lessen the amount of copyediting work that fellow Wikipedians need to do, and will help improve the overall appearance of Wikipedia. Finally, don't take this message personally. Thank you!

MKoltnow 19:11, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Last thing, you appear to be the same editor as Alex1013 (talk contribs logs); it shouldn't be a problem, but it's good to disclose that fact. MKoltnow 19:30, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Hayward City Center, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. MKoltnow 00:29, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edit(s) to Hayward City Center, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you.

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. MKoltnow 01:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SFBA Project

Hello, based on your contributions to Bay Area-related articles, I thought you might be interested in this.

You have been invited to join the WikiProject San Francisco Bay Area, a collaborative effort focused on improving Wikipedia's coverage of the Bay Area. If you'd like to join, just add your name to the member list. Thanks for reading!

[edit] Images

Regarding the following image link that you added to Hayward City Center:

Image:Hayward PC 16

You will need to upload an image file under the name of "Hayward_PC_16" in order for an image to appear. To do this, click the Upload file link to the left of this page under "toolbox" and select find the image file on your computer. You will also need to select an appropriate license for "Hayward_PC_16". If this image is yours, please state that fact on the image summary text box and choose a license that fits that. Otherwise, the image link above will appear as a redlink and no image will show up. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you. Hydrogen Iodide 05:52, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hayward Template

Alex, the Hayward Template you created was not done entirely correct. Templates have their own namespace (Template:Hayward, California) would be the correct place to create the template. I copied the code from Hayward Template and created Template:Hayward, California. I also removed the template code from the pages you placed it on. To have a template appear on a page, you only need to include the following code {{Hayward, California}}. I am going to tag Hayward Template for deletion. If you have any questions, please let me know. VerruckteDan 01:34, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Categories on you user page

You have a couple of templates on your user page that should only be used for articles, namely Category:San Francisco Bay Area and Category:Hayward, California. Would you please remove them? Pairadox 01:09, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in Wikipedia:WikiProject Latinos, a project dedicated to developing and improving articles about Latinos and Hispanics.
Currently, we are discussing prospects for the project. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

[edit] Suggestion for your userpage

It looks like the userboxes on your userpage could be organized in rows and columns, much like what I did here. Happy editing. Hydrogen Iodide 23:35, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey Alex, it would be much easier for me to organize the userboxes on your userpage if you replace the userbox code (which you have on your userpage right now) with brackets (e.g. {{userbox}}). Thanks. Hydrogen Iodide 03:45, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Kzqz.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kzqz.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cinema Place.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cinema Place.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:01, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alex Giualini Plaza

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you.--BirgitteSB 14:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of KZQZ

KZQZ, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that KZQZ satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KZQZ and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of KZQZ during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:KFRC logo 2005.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KFRC logo 2005.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Image source problem with Image:AC97.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:AC97.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:16, 14 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Cinema Place

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Cinema Place, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.blakehunt.com/cinemaplace.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 20:40, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:AC97.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:AC97.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:55, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of PlazaCenter

A tag has been placed on PlazaCenter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:KMVQ.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:KMVQ logo.jpg. The copy called Image:KMVQ logo.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. [edit] Festival Cinemas 9

The article Festival Cinemas 9 has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:First_Lucky's.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:First_Lucky's.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:33, 15 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 15:33, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
