RE: MY RANT

In regards to your response, I have to set things straight. I'm not telling you that we should get that precise. However, we should bring fan's criticisms, such as "...the wrestler's moveset, which was seen by many as limited, failed to achieve major success, earning him the nickname "The Slow-ass..." -or- , Chris Masters answered criticism from fans that he was "just a body wrestler", hoping to innovate his style and promo skills, launching an interview segment on ..."

That is what I'm talking about. Not that a wrestler sucks or is good, but certain criticisms that offer a larger perspective.

RE: Block

I can't block him immediately, because he only has one warning and is making constructive edits to non-wrestling related articles. I gave him a final warning, and if he vandalizes one more time, I'll block him. In the future, it is best to give warnings for vandalism. Usually, if vandals realize there are consequences to their actions, they will stop, and if they don't, they can't claim ignorance. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though. Keep a look out for anymore vandals. Nikki311 17:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

It seems he has vandalized after my final warning, and he has been blocked indefinitely by an admin at the ANB. Nikki311 17:55, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

WWE Roster Refs

I think the refs will exceed over 200 is that good? Or am I doing this citation thing toward FL wrong?TrUcO9311 (talk) 17:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Oh ok, umm I glanced at your sandbox, are you going to make the whole thing into tables? If so, dont you think thats over exaggerated? (Too Many Tables)TrUcO9311 (talk) 18:02, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Oh ok, hey what are we gonna do with the ones that I marked with "citation needed", I cant find profiles for them.--TrUcO9311 (talk) 18:13, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I think we should get rid of them and mayby put them in another article like "world wrestling entertainment personel" or something like that. But right now there is a major issue, people are removing the citations, and dont like this idea here.
I guess, but one of had the "balls" to revert everything I did, i reverted it, but if this continue this may be a problem. About the other roles thing, I believe we should make another article about Personnel only. --TrUcO9311 (talk) 18:31, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I need you to join the discussion before it turns into a edit war. TrUcO9311 (talk) 18:50, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I think we can be able to work now, someone requested for semi-protection, and it was granted. Now there are no Ips removing all the references. But those other users are still a problem. TrUcO9311 (talk) 19:43, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Adopter

Hi Alex Roggio,

I've started to clean up the Adopters' list. You appear to have changed username since you added yourself to the list but not updated your info there. In case you're still interested, can you kindly update your information? Or, if you're not interested any more, would you mind removing yourself? Thank you and happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 22:48, 21 December 2007 (UTC)~~

Adoption

Hey Alex. I'm Adamaniac, one of the editors and members from WP:PW. I really want to help out with the project but looking at the mass of information that is wikipedia, it seems I might need a bit of help with more than just the project. Your userpage said you're adopting, and if you're interested at all, I'd love it if you could take me under your wing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! December to Dismember (2006)

Quote: Many fans had a negative reaction to the pay-per-view,[46][47][48]

Right, although the sentence in itself sounds weasely, I have backed my point up with references, therefore the sentence should stay in the article. I can bring this up at WP:PW to get other opinions on it if you wish. Cheers, Davnel03 09:35, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

I've brought it up HERE, si can get other opinions on it. Cheers, Davnel03 14:51, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
If I'm to be honest your attitude also at Armageddon (2007) is a little too much. When people are helping you create the article, even if they don't source the info, there is really no need to revert them. The info was factually correct, and as a result, I have added a few references to stop this lame edit war. Cheers, Davnel03 16:34, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
OK. But nothing stopped you finding some references from WWE.com. It took me 10 minutes to find some refs. Cheers, Davnel03 16:41, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Um. I think its best for most users at WP:PW to have a week or so off editing and have a Christmas break, because the attitude of some is violating a lot of Wikipedia policies. Cheers, Davnel03 16:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Lex, just drop it. Christmas is meant to be the season of happiness, and I cannot see any WP:PW member feeling happy when they are editing on WIkipedia this Christmas. Cheers, Davnel03 17:12, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Dude, why the hell?

Can you explain to me why you are ignoring me lately? It's not exactly like Call of cthulhu is taking up your time. Every talk page message I have snt you lately has been ignored and you don't even acknowledge me on the WP:PW talk page. some adopter you are. Jordan Morrison Payne 15:55, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Image:Beefcake shaves Adonis.jpg

I thought I would discuss this with you before doing any other action. You have to find a different source for this action of it will be deleted. The reason is that YouTube can not be used if it is for videos which YouTube is illegally hosting (which would include anything broadcast by WWE/WCW/ECW since WWE has not given them permission to host these and has actually had some videos removed before). See WP:YOUTUBE, it's the same reason links to YouTube aren't allowed as sources for WWE articles. TJ Spyke 05:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

WP:FU covers whether the image itself can be used, not the source of the image. I don't think the PPV itself could be cited. The best course of action would be to rent or buy the PPV (you can rent the WrestleMania Anthology version from Netflix if you subscrive) either wuth the WrestleMania Anthology version or the Championship Edition version and take a screen cap of it. I don't think the image would survive being nominated for deletion due to the fact that YouTube is not allowed unless the copyright owner gave permission (like how TNA uploads "TNA Today" to YouTube). TJ Spyke 05:59, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Taking a picture from the DVD yourself would be allowed. It's just that YouTube isn't allowed because of the fact that hosting these copyrighted videos without permission is illegal. I just checked and both images are from YouTube. I am not sure if this would stop it from becoming a GA (I haven't checked), but the article would never become a FA with two images coming from YouTube. TJ Spyke 06:09, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
The source has to be where you got the pic from. Since you got the images from YouTube, you have to say that. If you had the DVD yourself and took a screen cap, you would list that as the source. Even if the person who uploaded the video illegally to YouTube got it from the DVD release, the source is YouTube and not the video. I will bring this up at the talkpage of WP:C and get opinions there. TJ Spyke 06:17, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I wasn't planning to nominate them until that other editor decided to promote WM III to GA status despite my objections. Tomorrow I will reconsider (I am about to go to sleep right now since it's pretty late here). TJ Spyke 08:55, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:WWE Intercontinental Championship replica.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:WWE Intercontinental Championship replica.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:WWE Intercontinental Championship replica.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:WWE Intercontinental Championship replica.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- bulletproof 3:16 07:52, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

The fact that there are replicas available for purchase and attending live events is achievable, the image is replaceable per Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Fair use. Sorry to disappoint.-- bulletproof 3:16 08:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
I saw your post on bullet's talk page. All you have to do is take a picture of one of the replica belts that WWE sells. I would love to buy one myself, but the deluxe ones (that are the same size as the real belts and made with real leather) are $300+. TJ Spyke 08:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Heh, I've got a replica hanging to my right. Mshake3 (talk) 16:50, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Just wondering.... why are we posting replica belts, as opposed to the real thing? Mshake3 (talk) 00:46, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Fixing links

Are you kidding me? I thought we were both trying to improve wrestling articles. I know fixing links is not encouraged, but there's no rules saying it's not allowed (just that it's discouraged) and it helps improve articles. TJ Spyke 00:03, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Spyke's doing this for a purpose. You are meant to avoid redirects. I cannot see what the problem is. D.M.N. (talk) 16:30, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

  1. You don't go for your RfA or accept an RfA nomination until I think you are ready. (The coaches at the VC generally conominate their students when the time is right. We've got 5 graduates so far!)
  2. Take the advice provided by your coaches and your fellow students to heart (this will be a group effort).

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hogan slams Andre.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Hogan slams Andre.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:58, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

You live in Puerto Rico, so I guess you are familiar with all the conmotion that has happened in the last week with "La Rabia", seeing that the stable has been receiving coverage in the mainstream media, [2] I was thinking that we could begin working with a article about them in userspace posting it on the mainspace when its ready to pass GA (that way we avoid AFDs and vandalism), probably begining with "Los Rabiosos" and "La Calle" wich were the two original stables all the way up to their entrance in WWC and the hijack of the championship, what do you think? - Caribbean~H.Q. 15:05, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
