Triple Crown Potential Champions

Tajiri is not employed by the WWE, therefore cannot win a title therefore is not a potential champion. Lashley has only won the US title, and would need a Tag and World reign to be considered a potential champion, otherwise if every one title champion was included the TCC page would be six screens long with potential champions. If you wish to add potential champions then look through the tlak page archive, the list on their now was reached over the course of months and Tajiri and Lashley do not fit the criteria needed. Darrenhusted 18:58, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Stop adding Lashley, he is not a potential champion until he wins a Tag belt or a World title. And the ECW is not part of the Triple Crown or Grand Slam. The US title debate is long and storied, read the talk page archives before trying to amend anything. Darrenhusted 11:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Matt Hardy should be listed on the RAW roster because he holds a RAW Title.

I never said Lashley should be on the RAW Roster, that is crazy. He pops up there now and then, but he is ECW property through and through.

Shane McMahon is on the RAW roster because that is where he appears most often, but in actuality, both Vince and Shane can go anywhere because they own all 3 brands.

Ohgltxg 16:24 11 April, 2007 (UTC)

Lex94, stop with the Lashley bull. Here is a list of the TCC titles.

WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, World Tag Team Championship, IC title.

Here are the titles Lashley has won,

ECW title, US title.

Are either of those on the list above? If the answer is no then the position is clear, refrain from filling talk pages with rubbish about how Lashley is a potential or unofficial champion. And sign your posts. Darrenhusted 16:48, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

CW 3rd Tier

I've replied on the GSC talk page, but adding the CW as 3rd tier and thus equal to the Euro would be nothing more than OR. Darrenhusted 23:15, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

No personal attacks

This is in reference to your "dont be a dumass Mshake" comment:

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. RobJ1981 19:48, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

And what was with all that jibber-jabber anyway? Something about more titles coming back? Hell, if they bring back the European Championship, then it becomes the 10th match. Mshake3 00:28, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
But that's crystal balling. You're leaving matches out because you're predicting that some of the champions might be injured. Look, the section is called Announced Matches. Nine matches were announced, and we list them. If someone is injured, then the match is taken out. Mshake3 15:49, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:RocknSockvsEvolution.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RocknSockvsEvolution.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 09:42, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Ricflair_and_orton_shaking_hands.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ricflair_and_orton_shaking_hands.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:Ortons Summerslam.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ortons Summerslam.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 13:51, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Image problems

Every single image you have uploaded is marked for deletion. You have been committing substantial violations of WP:FU and of the image licenses. Please note that any further violations will result in an immediate block. Please do not upload or use any more images until you have read and understood WP:FU. --Yamla 13:53, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Please reread WP:FU and the image licenses. Fair use t.v. screenshots may not be used for illustration. Wikipedia generally does not like fair-use images and only permits their use in exceptional cases. Please stop using fair-use images solely for illustration. --Yamla 15:34, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Tags

Do not add the {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} tag to images such as you did to Image:The snake meets the rat.jpg, without providing a reason why it would be impossible to find a replacement freely-licensed image. --Yamla 16:29, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

You erased it while I was writing the reason in the talk page. Lex94 16:31, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair-use

Okay, let's move the discussion here. Wikipedia requires that we make use of a minimal number of fair-use images. This is generally held to be one or perhaps two fair-use images per article, though if at all reasonable, there should be zero fair-use images. Fair-use images may not be used solely for illustration but require critical commentary and must contribute substantially to the article. And if it is a t.v. screenshot, it cannot be used to depict the person or the event but must be used solely to provide critical commentary on the t.v. show. So if you are using it in an article which does not even discuss the t.v. show (for example, an article discussing a wrestling event), it cannot possibly meet WP:FU. The images you have been uploading are solely used to illustrate the article. The article stands alone and makes perfect sense without the images, clear indications that you are not using the images to provide critical commentary. And indeed, the articles do not even mention the images, again evidence that they are not being used for critical commentary. --Yamla 16:53, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

You state: "I just checked the Orton-Source site. The pictures are taken using the freeze feature on a cable tv set. So, the pictures are actually property of them and not WWE. Someone actually did say that it is still property of WWE, so I will explain why it is not. If you purchased the broadcasting of a channel and you tape the show to watch it later on, the tape is yours and no one can take it away from you. Technically what Ortan-Source does is pause some parts of the tapes and posts them publicly on the internet."
This is incorrect. If you tape a t.v. show, the copyright is not transferred to you. You own the tape, yes, but you do not own the copyright. Please see Copyright and WP:COPYRIGHT. --Yamla 16:56, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Never said anything about owning the copyright. WWE owns their copyright, but the tape is completely different. The pictures taken using a freeze frame will not come out 100% accurate if you try to freeze it in the exact milisecond. The picture was taken from their TV (which is noted by the ECW logo on the bottom left corner) and they have a right to use it how they want.

This is false. Once again, please read Copyright. They do not have a right to use it however they want. This is very clearly spelled out in Copyright. --Yamla 16:59, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Just read the whole article. Doesn't speak about any case similar to the one I mentioned. And if what you say is true, they still can share the picture freely if it does not cause any damage to the promotion/company.

Please reread Copyright, specifically the bit about transfer and licensing and the bit about exclusive rights. You are simply wrong. They can not share the picture freely but must abide by the copyright and any fair-use exemptions. This is not open to debate, this is a fact. --Yamla 17:40, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Blocked

You have been caught violating WP:SOCK on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legend Killer. As such, you have been blocked indefinitely. However, if you can prove that you understand WP:FU (due to the substantial issues you have been having recently with this policy) and that you will never again violate WP:SOCK, you are eligible for an unblock. When you have provided us reason to believe you will no longer violate these policies, please request an unblock with {{unblock|1=Reason for your unblock}}. Until then, note that WP:SOCK prohibits your use of any other account or editing anonymously. --Yamla 13:49, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

What the hell are you doing? You scratched to votes that werent mine. And you blocked me because my neighbor posted. My neighbor helped me make the article giving me most links, and he wanted to keep the page bcuz we were hours doing that page. So I told him to make a user and then he can vote. You blocked me and him. And whats the deal about the other two being me? Those were most certainly not me. You must be one very crappy administrator. Lex94 23:13, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

This is a violation of WP:SOCK and is not permitted here. --Yamla 15:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

{unblock|Ok, I was blocked months ago. I think its already fair enough that someone gets to be unblocked after a good 1-2 months.}

To the reviewing administrator, this user is claiming to have been blocked 4 or 5 months ago. This is a lie. The user was blocked on 2007-07-05, just over six weeks ago. Additionally, the user has shown no evidence that he has read and understood WP:FU as he was asked to do. --Yamla 23:48, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Dude, it was a mistake... I chose the wrong row on my number pad (god!)... I meant 1-2 months, cut me some slack, i changed it... Lex94 00:19, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

You blocked me on abusive sockpuppeting. Nothing to do with WP:FU, so that argument had no foundation, Yamla. Anyway, I would like you to review the IPs of those accounts again on that post, because I repeat, I did not vote in multiple accounts. Lex94 00:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Your recruiting your neighbour to vote stack is a direct violation of WP:SOCK. And your continued violations of WP:FU most definitely do apply here. Unless the reviewing administrator can be reasonably sure you will no longer violate our policies, he or she will be unwilling to unblock you. --Yamla 00:33, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I had no idea that if my neighbor voted, it was a violation. Actually, I wouldn't think anyone would guess that you would go against any individual will wanting to vote. It is completely unusual. Nevertheless, he doesn't get on wikipedia that much anyway, so I don't believe this incident will ever happen again. So I am publicly apologizing for that violation and I publicly promise it wont happen again. Now, to the WP:FU incident which clearly has nothing to do with this block, but even if I am unblocked you would have a justifiable reason to block me again. I clearly understand that violation and I promise I wont violate it again. Heck, I don't even like uploading anything to wikipedia, so I may not even upload any other picture. Lex94 00:57, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I'm going to take that as enough to give you another chance. Please read over WP:CANVAS for an idea why we prefer for debates to be found in entirely neutral ways: it may help clarify your understanding. As for WP:FU, it's not always easy to understand that policy. Since you've said you don't intend to do much/any uploading, that's good. If you change your mind, just ask for some advice from experienced users before uploading fair use stuff, and try to understand the policy. Mangojuicetalk 04:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

New User Page!

Hi! You don't know me but I'm a random Wikipedia editor that gets frustrated with normal article editing from time to time, and when I need a break from editing I pick a random user page to redesign if I think the person might like a redesign because it is fun for me and releaves stress. I like to do it as a surprise. So ...a few weeks ago I picked yours. When I saw you had been banned, however, I held off on surprising you with this because I was not sure of the outcome of the situation or your feelings on the matters you were banned for. Now I believe you are trying to understand Wikipedia policy and intend to follow guidelines and such, so I now present you with your new page. What I did was categorize your user boxes and add background colors and whatnot. I really hope you enjoy it. I used the same color scheme as my userpage because I saw you had already used some blue on your page and probably liked the color. If you don't like it, the color can always easily be changed and you can tell me what color you would rather have. If I in any way overstepped my bounds by redoing your page or you just totally don't like it, please feel free to revert your page back to how you had it and tell me so, no hard feelings. Thanks! Cheers, --Naha|(talk) 05:10, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Collaboration of the Week

Lex, I'm not sure you understand the purpose of COTW - we pick an article that is indeed "not that good" and that "needs improvement" and focus our efforts together to try to make the article better. That is the whole point of a collaboration! There is no need to make an excellent article a COTW, because its already good. Also, please try to stay and think positive ;) Peace, --Naha|(talk) 01:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Smile!

Davnel03 15:04, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello, and I request a favor

Hey Lex94, I don't think we've ever really met before. Yo soy El Híbrido :). Anyway, whenever the COTW template is finished being updated, if you are the first to notice/the one to update it, could you pop on over to User talk:Misza13 and let her know? We're supposed to notify her every week. If you could, then that would be great. I'll be asking some other users to do the same thing. Cheers, The Hybrid 20:51, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations on your userpage. It looks very professional that in kindness, I'd like to give you this award myself. Keep the editing rolling. Zenlax Talk Contributions Signatures 20:09, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use images in user space

I noticed that your signatures page, User:Lex94/Signatures, links to Image:Wwelogo.png. Per Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, images with a "fair use" license can only be included in articles, not in user space. Please read the policy and then remove the image from your signatures page.

I'm really not sure how signature pages and autograph books are supposed to help in building an encyclopedia in the first place, but that's a different topic altogether. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 02:22, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

WrestleMania III

Hey. I noticed you added some content to WrestleMania III. According to WP:CITE, all new information added must cite the source that it came from. In the future, please only add information that is properly sourced. It is harder to find sources retroactively than to just add them in as information is added. Thanks. Nikki311 23:54, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

I never added any such sentence. The only edits i've done to it in the last week or so was copyediting. So it doesn't matter to me what happens to the sentence. TJ Spyke 22:49, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Odd. Sure, go ahead. TJ Spyke 22:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Whoops, totally forgot to reply. Anyway, as he stated, you are not allowed to have fair use images in that specific page, per the rules he linked to. FamicomJL 00:58, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/December to Dismember (2006)

Thanks for the comments! I'll get to work and make comments right away! I'll inform you when I've done. :) Davnel03 17:57, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Made comments and improvements. Please comment back. Davnel03 18:22, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
I've commented on the other things at the above link, can you look at the link for us. Davnel03 18:29, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Made a further batch of comments. If you wish, bring it up on the WP:PW talkpage stating that you and me are having a discussion about the reliability of sources. Please comment on it at this link.... etc. Thanks, Davnel03 18:59, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Also Lex, you cannot use your proposed setout on the FAC candidate page, otherwise it breaks the setup on the main FAC page. Davnel03 19:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
OK, change it. Then click this, and go down to the contents. Does the layout look OK? No, because of your change. Do it to see if you wish. Davnel03 19:30, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
That's better. Davnel03 19:36, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Your signature

I was looking at your comments on the December to Dismember FAC and saw a bunch of small text. I think your signature needs a </small> tag in it at the end. DrWarpMind 19:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 02:07, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

I've replaced some of the WrestleView sourcing BUT I am planning to keep the WV sources that are the D2D report and dark matches notes. Davnel03 21:03, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
What do you think of the sources in the article now? Do you think it could pass FAC, and do you think that the sources problem has been rectified (note: I haven't removed all WV sources just yet). Please reply back! :) Davnel03 11:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
So in its current state, do you think you'd be able to support it when I renominate it?? Thanks, Davnel03 12:03, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
I've renominated it! Please comment. :) Davnel03 20:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Hogan and Andre.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Hogan and Andre.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Trish Stratus

No offense, but I'd rather someone outside the project review the articles I put forth as Good Article nominees. I don't want there to be any problems with conflict of interest. There are several GA reviewers who know what to look for in professional wrestling articles, so I'd rather they review them. Thanks though. Nikki311 00:33, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

It is just my personal preference. I don't want the project to be accused of any shady business (not saying there was any). Nikki311 02:41, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wrestlemania III crowd.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wrestlemania III crowd.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:40, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Shelton Benjamin

The protocol before nominating an article as either a Good Article or Featured Article is to inform the wrestling project on their talk page. Then, if nobody opposes the nomination within one week, you can go ahead with the nomination. I'm not opposed to the nomination, especially since User:Deep Shadow and I worked so hard rewriting and sourcing it, but I just wanted you to know the process for the future. Nikki311 23:16, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Where exactly did you notify the project on WPT:PW? I don't see it. If you mean that you added it as a nomination in the COTW...then you skipped about 12 steps. You nominate it there, we all vote on it, and then it may or may not be officially nominated. If you are talking about adding the note on WP:PW main page...that doesn't count either because hardly anyone looks at that. The one week grace period was discussed by WP:PW a while back to improve communication within the project. If you had notified the project correctly, they probably would have told you to hang on because December to Dismember is currently a FA candidate and Bobby Eaton is the FACOTW and will be nominated once D2D has either passed or failed. Why'd you revert my Brand Extention edits?

Why'd you revert my Brand Extention edits?Template:Lex94

  • My mistake, in Lupin it looked like you erased an entire section, and then replaced it with an empty table. Normally i do a full page diff in such cases, but this time i decided to be a little lazy, and that immediately payed off i see. Apologies for the mistake though, wont happen again :) --Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 21:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Melina Perez page move

I noticed you moved Melina Perez to Melina Pérez with the comment "Her name has an accent (Like Carly Colón)". However, since no evidence has been provided to prove this, I have no choice but to move the page back. In future, please discuss potentially controversial page moves on the article talk page first, especially when there are no reliable sources to support them. - Deep Shadow 01:38, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

RE: Cyber Sunday

Because per WP:FU, non-free content is only to be used in article namespace. LAX 09:48, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Why don't you do what Davnel does, created the article (Cyber Sunday (2006)), transfer the information you have on your sandbox to the article, and tag the article with {{underconstruction}}, therefore you can have the fair use images up. LAX 20:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Cyber Sunday 2007

I know the propaganda WWE spews, but you and I both know there is only 1 main event per show (hence main event). The last televised match is the main event (i.e. Cena/Michales was the main event of WrestleMania 23). TJ Spyke 01:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Actually, yes that would make Vince/Hornswoggle the main event. A match may be the most hyped or promoted, that doesn't make it the main event. For the record, Batista/Undertaker was the main event of Cyber Sunday. TJ Spyke 01:26, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Cyber Sunday (2007)

On the expanded PPVs page, you changed the Cyber Sunday 2007 from you to Aaru Bui, with the edit description "Do not dismiss his contributions". I don't know whether you know, but it seems he credited you with creating it, see this diff. Just thought I'd let you know. Davnel03 18:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I dunno why either. Oh well. By the way, you might want to read the topic on the WP:PW page one up from the bottom. We have a new FA! Davnel03 18:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Meh, that's OK. The sources are MUCH better now. If you are planning to nominate WrestleMania III for GA-status, inform WP:PW on the talkpage. However, before you do that, Cyber Sunday (2006) is concerning me. You created it, but the article is incomplete. You need to fill in the Event section really with either WWE.com sources or something else. Thanks, Davnel03 18:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
