Alex Goring, (born January 6, 1992, Barnet) attends Queen Elizabeth's School for Boys, Barnet and is a former pupil of St Catherine's RC Primary School in Barnet.
[edit] Early Life
Alex was born at Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, England to Jane Goring, a teacher and Peter Goring, a civil engineer. At fourteen, he was 6 foot 3 inch and was about tall enough to play lock.
[edit] Rugby
During the course of his time at Queen Elizabeths, Alex has played full-back, wing, centre, fly-half, number eight, flanker and lock in the space of three years. During Year 7, he formed a excellent partnership in the centres with Ryan Harvey at fly-half and Matthew Webster at outside centre, when they completed the season unbeaten. However, the introduction of Gary Harry Barry as Year 8's head of games broke up the partnership, dropping Alex to the B team where he remained at centre, scoring 36 tries. He made a handful of appearances for the A's as replacements playing at wing and fly-half. Year 9 saw many changes for Alex, seeing an initial conversion to the A team full-back as Webster was ill with yellow fever and then an introduction into the forwards on Webster's return, as a lock, making three appearances at flanker and one at number eight. During Year 9, he also was given a trial for Hertfordshire, but was told he was too inexperienced at that position (he had only played twice at lock prior to the trial).

Alex has played A team cricket for Queen Elizabeths throughout his time at the school
