Hello JzG,
You wrote: "Notice: You are re-creating a page that was deleted. You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. Information is available on what to do if a page you created is deleted. The deletion log for this page is provided here for convenience"
This is why I recreated deleted material on my user page:
On March 24th, 2008, User:lifebaka wrote: "Comment - Do you have a proposed version? I'd like to see what you're proposing we put back in article space before I decide. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 11:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)"
I proceeded to re-create the article on the DRV page for my article.
On the same date, User:Ism schism then wrote: "Comment Hello AlexandreJ, recreating the deleted page on this review page is getting to be a bit confusing. May I suggest that you recreate the article using your Userpage instead. That way your new article might be more presentable and the discussion taking place here can be more focused. Thanks. JzG, you have deleted my re-created page. I am re-posting it below. If need be, I can move it to the discussion page associated with my user page. Please advise where I should move it to. Thanks. --AlexandreJ (talk) 17:52, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Srila Prabhupada: The Prominent Link, the second edition of which was published by Satvatove in 2002, is a book made up of contributions from Dhira Govinda dasa and others about the process of "initiation" in the movement started by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (henceforward Srila Prabhupada).
The book explores the thesis that the essence of initiation is the transfer of transcendental knowledge from the teacher to the student rather than the performance of an initiation ceremony. The book discusses the idea that it is this transfer of transcendental knowledge that links the student to the lineage of which Srila Prabhupada is a member.
The articles in the book go on to suggest that for members of his movement, Srila Prabhupada is, or at least should be, the main source of transcendental knowledge (divya-jnana). He is therefore presented in the book as the most prominent link to the disciplic succession for the members of his movement.
[edit] Criticism and feedback
The book and certain ideas that it presents, as well as possible implications of those ideas, are considered controversial by some. [1] The book has been critically reviewed by the ISKCON GBC's Sastric Advisory Council [2] [3], by Danavir Swami [4], Rocana dasa [5], Ravi dasa [6] [7], Prabhupada dasa Adhikari [8], Krishna Kant Desai of the ISKCON Revival Movement [9], and by members of other Vaisnava groups such as Swami B. G. Narasingha [10] [11], and Bhakta Eric Johanson of the Vaisnava Foundation[12]. An excerpt from the book is paraphrased in an article by Natha dasa [13], and an appendix from the book is included in its entirety on a website belonging to the Hare Krishna Society. [14]
