Alex Horovitz is currently the Sr. Director of Enterprise Architecture & Standards at [[K12, Inc.]] NYSE: LRN. Previously, he was the CTO at The Brookeside Group, a Massachusetts based company that focuses on customer loyalty. Mr. Horovitz is a frequent contributor to the local newspaper where he writes on issues of economics and science. His educational background is in Economics and Statistics.
He moved to Massachusetts in 1997 after his then employer NeXT Computer was acquired by Apple Computer. While at NeXT Computer, Mr. Horovitz worked in the WebObjects engineering group in Redwood City, California. After moving to New England, Mr. Horovitz led a team of consulting engineers.
Mr. Horovitz's engineering team worked on projects for various companies in the Northeastern United States. Among his teams portfolio were FleetBank ( Homelink ), The Walt Disney Company ( Dinsey Travel Online ), and Aetna ( EZEnroll ). In December of 2001 Mr. Horovitz left Apple Computer to work on personal projects and help a friend launch a consulting company. In January of 2003 Mr. Horovitz joined The Brookeside Goup.
At The Brookeside Group, Mr. Horovitz has led a team of engineers in developing an online loyalty tool set closely coupled with a sales force effectiveness training program. He currently spends time working with clients and writing on the topic of Customer Loyalty.
