[edit] Conspiracy Theory?

In the part about Griboyedov's death, the article doesn't mention anything about giving asylum to Armenians from the Shah's harem and instead claims his death was the result of something the British ambassador did.. isn't this a conspiracy theory? I haven't ever seen a bit of proof that the British had anything to do with it. Mouravi 03:40, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] PUSHKIN/GRIBOYEDOV

Worth checking the date quoted (28 June 1829) from the monument commemorating the encounter with Griboyedov's body described in Chapter 2 of Pushkin's "Journey to Arzrum". In Pushkin's narrative the incident belongs to 11/23 June, the date most likely to have been used by those who put the monument up. 23 June may have been mistranscribed as 28.
