[edit] Small birthdate discrepancy
The Grove gives his birthdate as 8/21 Jan 1899, with the 8 being the Old Style date. But the 21 is one day off from the date given in the article. Volunteer Sibelius Salesman 18:30, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
The Tcherepnin society confirms the 21st
- Grove's "8/21 Jan" is fundamentally flawed. That suggests a 13-day difference between the calendars, but in the 19th century, they were only 12 days apart, not 13. So it was either 8/20 Jan or 9/21 Jan. If we can trust the Tcherepnin Society, then it was 9/21 January. -- JackofOz (talk) 22:34, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
