That's the same thing. Luftwaffe is german for Air Force. Bobby1011 15:15, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
He was a Commander of the Austrian Airforce before the Anschluss....therefore not a Luftwaffe Commander, although he did become one. He was Head of the Austrian Airforce before Gerany annexed Austria in 1938.

The Kurt Waldheim article asserts that the General attempted some sort of special arrangement with the British at the end of the war, although it doesn't explicitly state what the General was trying to accomplish. What did he do at the end of the war, why'd he do it, did it get anywhere at all? MrZaiustalk 17:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
