The article is missing one of Kevitz's major victories: His win in the 1954-1955 Manhattan Chess Club Championship. After finishing first-second tied with James T. Sherwin, he won their playoff match of four games. He thus finished first ahead of Sherwin, Arthur Bisguier, Arnold Denker, and Max Pavey, leading American players all.
