[edit] William Birkett

Although the statement about his father-in-law is made in what seems to be a reliable source [1], I can find no record of a Canadian MP or even a candidate for a federal seat named William Birkett at [2]. There was a Thomas Birkett, possibly related, who also lived in Ottawa. The A cyclopædia of Canadian biography [3] refers to William Birkett as simply a "barrister-at-law". --Big_iron 09:30, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
